Product Questions
What material do you use for shower walls?
We install solid-surface wall systems, a solid, nonporous material, not thin acrylic or fiberglass and not grout-lined tile. It resists cracking, chipping and staining, has no grout lines to trap soap scum and mildew, and minor surface damage is often repairable. We offer two product lines: Swanstone reinforced solid surface, our top recommendation for long-term performance, and CASTICO solid composite stone, with bolder looks at a lower starting price.
Why solid surface instead of acrylic, fiberglass or tile?
Solid surface is nonporous and solid all the way through, with grout-free walls and sealed seams, so there is far less to scrub and nowhere for mildew to hide. Acrylic and fiberglass are typically thin molded shells, and tile depends on grout lines and caulk that need ongoing upkeep. The material only performs when it is installed right, which is why every job starts with demolition to the studs and proper waterproofing.
Which is better for my bathroom?
We’ll measure your space and recommend the available configurations. Swanstone leads when performance and repairability are priorities. CASTICO leads when a distinctive design and a lower price matter most.
Are both showers grout-free?
The available wall designs avoid traditional tile grout lines; panel seams are installed and sealed according to the selected product’s instructions.
Do both have lifetime warranties?
Swanstone describes a limited lifetime residential warranty on most products. CASTICO’s written terms cover defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser and exclude removal and replacement labor. Coverage, conditions and exclusions differ, so we’ll identify the exact products and provide the applicable written warranty.
What is included in the estimate?
Your written proposal lists the chosen wall system, base, standard Delta fixture, frameless glass, demolition, installation, cleanup, and any selected upgrades or necessary site repairs.
Can I see both prices?
Yes. Ask for a Swanstone and CASTICO comparison for your measured shower whenever both systems fit.
Can every finish be ordered for any size?
No. Finish, texture, wall height, drain location, and base availability vary by model.
Are Swanstone wall panels real stone?
No. They are premium composite wall panels designed to provide the appearance of natural stone while being easier to maintain than traditional tile.
Can I choose different colors and styles?
Yes. We offer a variety of wall colors, patterns, glass options, fixtures, and accessories so you can design a shower that fits your home and personal style.
What fixture brands do you offer?
Superior Showers primarily recommends premium Delta fixtures known for quality, performance, and available finish options.
Installation Questions
How long does installation take?
Every project is different. The timeline depends on the existing bathroom, selected products, and the scope of work. Your estimated schedule will be discussed during your consultation.
Will I be without a bathroom?
The answer depends on your home’s layout and the scope of the project. We’ll discuss what to expect before work begins.
Do you remove my old bathtub or shower?
Yes. Existing materials are removed as needed to prepare for the new installation.
Do you install over my existing walls?
No. Unlike companies that glue new panels directly over existing tile or drywall, we fully demolish every shower down to the bare studs. We inspect and repair the framing, plumb the walls true and square, and install waterproof backer board before your selected Swanstone or CASTICO system goes in. It takes more work, but it’s the only way to guarantee a wall system that performs for the long run. See our installation difference →
Will plumbing need to be moved?
Sometimes. This depends on the existing layout and your chosen design. Any recommended plumbing changes will be reviewed before work begins.
Do you install shower doors?
Yes. A custom frameless glass shower door is included with every installation — we’re a complete install, so it’s never an upsell. Configuration (sliding or hinged) is fit to your space.
Design Questions
Can I add a built-in niche?
Yes. Many homeowners choose recessed niches for convenient storage.
Can I add grab bars?
Yes. Grab bars are available in multiple finishes and styles to complement your shower design.
Can I add a bench?
In many cases, yes. Available options depend on the shower layout and selected design.
Do you offer multiple fixture finishes?
Yes. Popular finishes include Chrome, Stainless Steel, Matte Black, and Champagne Bronze.

Does Swanstone have a warranty?
